Most of these are Shopify settings rather than theme faults, so the fix is usually a minute in your admin.

My collection page has no filters

Filters come from Shopify, not from the theme. Install Search & Discovery (free, by Shopify) and configure your filters there. They will appear on your collection pages automatically. Quire renders whichever filters you configure, including colour swatches.

My colour swatches show as text, not colours

Swatch colours are set on the option itself, in the Shopify admin, under Settings → Custom data or on the product's option values. Once a colour or image is attached to the option value, the theme renders it as a swatch.

Products show a placeholder instead of my photo

That product has no image. Add one under the product in your admin. The placeholder is deliberately faint so an unfinished catalogue looks unfinished rather than broken.

Can I change the fonts?

Yes — Theme settings → Typography offers Shopify's full font library for all three roles. The defaults are the IBM Plex superfamily, and they are chosen so display, body and interface text are related rather than merely compatible. If you change one, changing all three together usually looks more deliberate than changing only the display face.

Why can't I make the text column wider?

Because the measure is capped at 52 characters on purpose. A line of text much longer than that is measurably harder to read — the eye loses its place returning to the start of the next line. If you want a wider-looking page, increase the maximum page width instead: the layout gets wider while the paragraphs stay readable.

Does the theme work without JavaScript?

Yes. Variant selection, search, pickup availability and recommendations are enhancements layered onto a page that already works. If a script fails to load, the page still sells.

How do I update the theme?

Shopify notifies you in the admin when a new version is available and provides an updated copy. Your settings and content carry across. If you have edited the theme's code, keep a record of what you changed — updates replace theme files.
