Sections
These eleven sections can be added to any page. App blocks are supported on the product page and in the Custom section.
Section reference
| Section | What it is for | Notes |

| Masthead | The opening statement of a page | Headline, supporting paragraph, one button, one image. The headline takes an italic emphasis — italicise a word in the editor and it picks up the accent colour. |
| Statement | One short, large line of type | Defaults to the dark colour scheme, so it gives a page one moment of contrast without any setup. |
| Image and text | An image beside running text | The text column holds the measure regardless of how wide the section gets. |
| Featured collection | A row of products from one collection | Set how many products to show. Three across on desktop, two on tablet, one on mobile. |
| Collection grid | Tiles linking to several collections | For a shop landing page. Up to eight; four or eight tile evenly. |
| Multi-column | Two to four short blocks side by side | Makers, materials, process steps, guarantees. Each block takes an image, a label, a heading, text and a link. Three or four fill a desktop row evenly. |
| Blog posts | Recent articles | Pulls from any blog. |
| Product recommendations | Related or complementary products | Loads after the page paints. Hides itself entirely when Shopify returns nothing. |
| Contact form | A contact form on a page | Best used on a page template, where it picks up the page's own title and text. |

Fixed sections and groups
The collection, product, cart, search, blog, article, page and 404 templates each have their own main section, which is placed for you and cannot be removed. The header and footer are section groups, so their blocks are editable on every page at once.
